Agile ONE powers up Europe’s largest AI factory
/ 3 min readMunich, 4.2.2026 – Agile ONE, the humanoid robot designed for industry by Agile Robots, has officially switched on the Telekom Industrial AI Cloud. Agile Robots, a leading provider of AI-powered robotics solutions, will train its foundation model on the new cloud infrastructure built by Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA in Munich, Germany.
The new AI factory, Europe’s first cloud infrastructure specifically designed for industrial artificial intelligence, was officially launched today at an event in Munich. German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil MdB was among those watching as Agile ONE pushed the button to power up the cloud.
Zhaopeng Chen, Founder and CEO of Agile Robots said: “The Industrial AI Cloud gives us the computing power we need to train our AI models and to keep pushing the boundaries of Physical AI. Its launch is good news for Agile Robots, for the German tech scene and for industrial competitiveness. Who better to turn it on than our industrial humanoid Agile ONE.”
Agile ONE and Agile Robots’ other robotic solutions operate autonomously, based on complex and large Robotic Foundation Models. The computational power of the new AI factory will enable Agile Robots to accelerate the data generation and training processes needed to develop and improve these models. Agile Robots is one of the first customers for the Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA project.
The cloud’s data-centre infrastructure has been built by Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA in Munich, further strengthening the city’s tech-ecosystem, of which Agile Robots is a part. Agile Robots’ Munich headquarters serves as its research and development (R&D) center, and the central hub for its industry-leading team of over 1,000 robotics and AI experts.
Agile Robots has grown rapidly since its founding by experts from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in 2018. In that time the company has doubled its revenue year-on-year and has installed over 20,000 robotic solutions worldwide across a broad range of industries, particularly in automotive and consumer electronics.
In November 2025 the company announced its first humanoid robot. Agile ONE is designed for use in industrial settings, where it will work safely and efficiently alongside humans and other robotic solutions. The humanoid combines intuitive human-robot interaction, one of the world’s most dexterous robotic hands, and an innovative AI model trained on real-world industrial data. It will be manufactured in-house in Germany.
