Technology meets team spirit
/ 3 min readMore than 2,300 people from over 60 countries work at Agile Robots. United by a shared vision, they develop cutting-edge technologies and automation solutions that are transforming industries around the world. But what is it like to work at Agile Robots? To give you a glimpse, we spoke with Manisha Rachel Thankachen, Project Manager at Agile Robots.
At the cutting edge
“We’re working on new technologies that haven’t existed in this form before,” Manisha says with excitement. “This benefits not only our automation solutions but also provides valuable impulses for research.”
Manisha is part of Agile Robots’ R&D team, which consists of more than 1,000 employees and is one of the largest in the industry. The team develops innovative solutions that bring humans and machines closer together, continually bridging the gap between the digital and physical world.
“It feels good to be part of something big and to work on innovations that shape the future,” Manisha says.

Corporate benefits
While we push the boundaries of what’s technically possible, we’re equally committed to creating a supportive, future-oriented work environment.
Our employees enjoy a broad range of benefits that promote well-being and foster personal growth.
As part of this commitment, employees receive a €50 monthly allowance that can be either used for mobility services, occupational health insurance or Urban Sports memberships.
Mobility allowance
Manisha chose mobility. “I use the allowance for the Deutschlandticket. Alternatively, I could use it for a fuel voucher. Even renting an e-scooter can be easily paid for with the credit.”
She also benefits from the allowance after work. “I don’t just use the ticket to get to work. I also use it to go to the mountains or the lakes after work. Munich is perfectly located for that.”

Every day, I work with colleagues from around the globe. It’s not only a lot of fun but also brings tremendous value. By exchanging ideas across disciplines, we’re able to tackle challenges from a variety of perspectives.
Sports and healthcare
“Before I opted for the mobility subsidy, I used the Urban Sports package. Thanks to the great support of our People Operations Team, switching between the options was really easy!”
The Urban Sports M package offers everything a sports enthusiast could wish for - available around the clock. In Munich alone, there are hundreds of options, from gym visits to yoga sessions and climbing adventures.
“I used to find balance through sports - now it's through trips into nature. Both give me energy and help clear my mind.”
Occupational health insurance, like the sports package, also focuses on promoting employee well-being. As supplementary insurance, it financially covers special additional treatments, as well as other support services.
“While I don’t personally use the health package, I know that many of my colleagues do. It’s great to see that there’s something for everyone - whether you're into fitness, outdoor adventures, or looking for extra peace of mind with healthcare.”
New language skills
Employees also have the opportunity to learn new languages through private online lessons. They receive a credit that can be used for weekly one-on-one classes.
“I’m using the program to improve my German. I really enjoy learning new languages - it not only broadens my horizons but also allows me to immerse myself in other cultures. I meet with my tutor every week and can see myself getting better and better.”
Thanks in part to the language course, Manisa has reached level B1. She’s determined to speak German fluently - and continues to use the language program.
Excellent teamwork
“Every day, I work with colleagues from around the globe. It’s not only a lot of fun but also brings tremendous value. By exchanging ideas across disciplines, we’re able to tackle challenges from a variety of perspectives,” says Manisha.
The range of solutions that come from this mindset is what makes our R&D team stand out - and it’s also the foundation of our innovation.
“This openness to new ideas and diverse viewpoints empowers us to develop solutions that are not only innovative but also ready for real-world use,” Manisha concludes.
