Agile Robots AG presents the production site in Kaufbeuren, Germany

Munich, 17.11.2022

On the 10th of November, the mayor of Kaufbeuren, Mr. Stefan Bosse, visited the production site of Agile Robots AG in Kaufbeuren, Germany. The team of Agile Robots set up several product stations to present the capabilities of the robotic arm Diana 7. With great passion and excitement, the team shared the story of the company’s growth in Kaufbeuren and its future goals.

Among others, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Hirzinger, the Chairman of the “Deutscher Robotik Verband” Mr. Helmut Schmid, Mr. Guido Bruch, the Wirtschaftsjunioren Kaufbeuren-Ostallgäu, and many more attended the event.

“We were looking for a suitable location for a production facility close to our headquarters in Munich. The region around Kaufbeuren convinced us right away. The planned expansion of the Federal Highway 12 was a big plus for the business location,” said Mr. Stefan Schaumann, Director of Production of Agile Robots. Agile Robots has chosen a location in a historical building. After the complete renovation, this old building from the past is prepared to function as a high-tech production site of the future.

What is next to come in Kaufbeuren?

The CEO of Agile Robots, Peter Meusel, said: “Now it is time to supply the European market with robots ‘Made in Kaufbeuren’. In the next few years, we will hire another 60 colleagues here at the site to build 2,500 robots per year.”

Agile Robots AG is currently hiring engineers, skilled workers and technicians, e.g. for electromechanical robot assembly and test equipment developers for electrical systems. The first phase of setting up the production has been accomplished. The second phase will lead to the first “Robots made in Kaufbeuren” being delivered in 2023.
