Munich-based robotics start-up Agile Robots today announced the completion of a Series A financing round in the eight-digit range. The round of financing is led by C-Ventures, a venture capital firm for innovative companies, led by Adrian Cheng. Existing investors such as GL Ventures, Sequoia Capital China and Linear Venture Capital (in alphabetical order) also invested in this round of financing. Agile Robots plans to use the fresh capital for the future development of robot products, the further expansion of the rapidly growing team and the growth of the company in the global market.
Thanks to technological advances, robotics is playing an increasingly important role in a variety of industries, including medicine, healthcare and services. In the future, intelligent robots will redesign conventional manufacturing for the automotive and electronics industries, optimize manufacturing processes and make them smarter and more flexible.
