Software Engineer – Control Framework Architecture (m/f/d)

At Agile Robots we are transforming technology at the leading edge of robotics research to real industry solutions. We are looking for motivated multi-disciplinary engineers to join our team. Our tasks range from low-level firmware, communication and software architecture to high-level path/motion planning, task planning and world modeling. Depending on your interests and strengths, as a member of the Agile Robots team you will have the opportunity to work in any of the broad areas we cover.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing scalable and robust software architectures for robot control
  • Integrating high- and low-level components in a control framework

Essential Skills:

  • C/C++, Python, Linux
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Beneficial Skills:

  • GCC/clang, CMake
  • GDB, valgrind
  • Git
  • strace, ltrace, nm, readelf, lttng
  • Real-time Linux
  • Middleware (DDS, ZeroC ICE, ZeroMQ, ROS, YARP)
  • Process scheduling
  • Torque controlled manipulators
  • Industrial manipulators
  • Motion / trajectory planning
  • Collision detection and avoidance
  • Custom Simulink Coder target experience
