Software Engineer – Computer/Robot Vision

Software Engineer – Computer/Robot Vision (m/f/d)

Currently, we are searching for candidates of all experience levels (student/junior/senior) with a background in applied Computer Vision, ideally in robotics. E.g.: Object detection, 6DoF pose estimation, point cloud processing. We also offer the possibility to write a master’s thesis on these topics.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Solving real-world computer vision problems
  • Analyze 2D and 3D data
  • Design and implementation of state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms
  • Performance optimization

Essential Skills:•

  • For non-student positions: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, robotics, or a related engineering field (or equivalent working experience)
  • Previous practical experience in Computer/Robot Vision. E.g.: Master’s thesis, practical project, contributions to open source software, etc.
  • Fluency in English, a good command of German is beneficial

Beneficial Skills:

  • Experience with working and programming in Linux
  • Know how to debug linker problems
  • Be able to trace a program that hangs on a blocking system call
  • Decent Python programming skills
  • Experience in designing and implementing modern C++ (11,14 or 17) applications
  • Experience working with vision sensors such as cameras, stereo systems, structured light sensors
  • Practical experience in solving problems using machine learning
  • Previous practical experience in robotics (motion planning, kinematics)
  • Experience with Open Source libraries such as OpenCV and PCL
  • GPGPU programming experience
  • Knowledge of CMake and Git
