Senior Mechanical Engineer – Robotics

As a senior mechanical engineer your will be a member of our development department and work closely with both the lead developers and the industrial design department. You will be in charge of the creation of CAD models for different robot parts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop great mechanics for a lightweight collaborative robot arm with torque controlled joints
    and other robotic products
  • Work with suppliers and consultants on sub module and component development
  • Manage the manufacture and assembly of prototypes and small series in an efficient and cost
    effective manner
  • Contribute to the requirements and systems engineering process in consultation with other teams
  • Enrich our robot development with your creative and innovative ideas

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
  • At least 8 years of experience in the mechanical development of robots or other complex
  • Demonstrated ability in all phases of mechanical development
  • Structured and system oriented thinking
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver tasks on time
  • Demonstrated ability to work within multi disciplinary teams
  • Experience with CAD software, Solidworks preferred
  • Fluent knowledge of English

Beneficial skills:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
  • Solid understanding of product and system development processes, especially the V cycle
  • Familiarity with quality assurance activities
  • Familiarity with relevant industrial robotics standards, such as ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066
  • Experience working with electrical drives with integrated electronics
  • Previous exposure to large volume production, including procurement and manufacturing
  • Experience in leading a group
