Electronics engineer – Robotics

Electronics engineer – Robotics (m/f/d)

The Electrical Engineering position will be a part of the development team for the next generation of robotic systems. You will develop electronics for robotic systems for industrial, service and medical applications, as well as equipment for the measurement and testing of these systems. You should have strong electronics skills with at least a basic familiarity with embedded software. This is a collaborative role where the individual will work with other mechatronics and software engineering disciplines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Executing or supporting electrical and electronics engineering activities in all phases of the product development life cycle including design, implementation, debugging
  • Electrical and electronics development for motor drives of lightweight robot joints, as well as complete robot manipulators and work stations
  • Applying analytical and problem-solving methodologies including modeling and simulations to electronics development
  • Managing and organizing electronics portion of the laboratory
  • Creating and managing parts library for eCAD

Essential Skills:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in R&D
  • Proven experience in applying electrical and electronics fundamentals in development projects
  • Experience working in a development team, with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiatives
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English, a good command of German is desirable

Beneficial Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with mixed-signal electronic design for brushless DC (BLDC) motors and/or sensors
  • Experience in series product development would be advantageous
  • Some experience in embedded software development
  • Medical device industry experience
  • Experience with electrical CAD tools such as PADS or Altium
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Spice
